What is CrossFit? The textbook definition of CrossFit is  a core strength and conditioning program designed around “constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity.”  Although  the previous statement may accurately describe CrossFit, we’d like to expand  on that definition.  CrossFit is the best fitness program available.  As previously mentioned, CrossFit workouts are based on fundamental functional movements used in everyday life that provides the “broadest and most general fitness possible” improving invaluable skills  in ten areas:

  • Cardio/Respiratory Endurance
  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Coordination
  • Agility
  • Balance
  • Accuracy
  • Power
  • Speed

  • Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or have never worked out. CrossFit is for you. Contrary to what many people believe, CrossFit is not a workout program only designed for those in exceptional shape.

    CrossFit is for everyone, regardless of fitness background or experience. Because we base our workouts on foundational functional movements, every workout and movement is scalable to your needs. CrossFit is also not like your ordinary “gym.”  Unlike most gyms where you come in by yourself and are left to figure out what exercise you should perform, CrossFit workouts are conducted in a classroom setting where our community cheer each other on, and Coaches help you every step of the workout.  You will be receiving personal training at a group setting for an affordable price here at Evoke.

    We stay true to CrossFit programming here at Evoke by teaching skills, progressions, and building solid foundations in Nutrition, Metabolic Conditioning (Cardio), Gymnastics, Weightlifting, and Sport. Our long term membership packages cover these vital components to your training.

    We tailor to all fitness levels from beginner to advanced. Smaller Class sizes, or for our bigger classes we may have up to 2-4 Coaches on the floor to ensure the quality of coaching, and service. For athletes who are intermediate or advanced, we also have programs in conjuction of the main programming to help them take their fitness to the next level.     Beginners are started with a FREE PRIVATE INTRO SESSION, or in SMALLER GROUP INTRO SESSIONS, where we make the transition into our group classes easy and comfortable. We know at first glance it could look visually intimidating watching people perform movements you’ve never learned before.

      Check out our NEW added Olympic Weightlifting Class on Wednseday Nights at 6:15pm. Beginners encouraged to take this Class. WED @6:15pm to Mixed Levels and SAT for Intermediate and Advanced at 11am to 1:30pm. FitAid will now be sponsering our Wod for Relief Competition! Saturday February 23, 2013: Special Team WOD with the theme of Team Tire Flips, Tire Jumps, Sledge Hammers, & Slam Ball Runs were tons of fun! Then for a COOKIE we shot a Harlem Shake Video Shoot. We got 15 + Evoke athletes doing the Spartan Super on January 26, 2013 as a team. CrossFit Endurance influence into full effect.  Of course our Gymnastics, Powerlifting, and Olympic Weightlifting is as always. =) We will be closed Thursday November 22 & 23rd for Thanksgiving. Together as One Team Saturday on November 17, 2012. Friday October 26th, 2012 at 6pm we will be hosting a CrossFit Evoke Halloween Costume WOD/Potluck. All day classes will be open gym, and there will be NO 5PM CLASS. We'd like all our members to particpate for this event. There will be an Individual WOD and a Team WOD. Please sign up at the front desk,  so we can organize heats and teams. This party is going to be epic, you don't want to miss it!!! NEW FREE ON RAMP CROSSFIT PROGRAM CLASS: Starting in Saturday August 11th, 2012 at 9am. We are ready to accept more athletes interested in starting CrossFit training program here.  Every Saturday at 9am we will start one free class for you to get an experience and taste of what CrossFit is about. We will be closed this Team Saturday July 28th, 2012 due to Construction for our new monkey bars and extended Rope Climb/Muscle up Stations. This construction was delayed on July 13th, but will be finished this weekend. CrossFit Evoke Athletes are welcome to stop by and see the history in makings! We will be closed this Friday July 13th, 2012 to go watch the CrossFit Games, and Team Saturday July 14th, 2012 due to construction. New extended 4 of 15ft Muscle up/Rope Climb Stations and monkey bars installed this weekend! June 2nd this Saturday we are holding a quick CrossFit Evoke Nutritional Guidance Seminar for those of you ready to step it up and lean out for the summer. This meeting starts at 12:15pm and we will all go grocery shopping together to plan for the first week of June. Before photos, weigh ins, body fat, and measurments will be taken as well. Closed Friday May 25th and Saturday May 26th. Memorial Day WOD Monday May 28th, 2012 at 10:30am. Post pot luck and bbq afterwards. Weigh in, measurements, and photos will be offered on Team Saturday May 14th, 2012 at 9am. Team Saturday on May 7th, 2012 is going outside the box. "HOPE" Three Rounds for time of: Burpees 75/55 pound Power snatch Box Jump, 24/20" box 75/55 pound Thrusters Chest to bar Pull ups Click here to register: www.crossfitforhope.com ""Hope" has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout, you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five minute round which one minute break is allowed beforerepeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of "rotate" the athlete/s must move to the next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep." What is Hope? "CrossFit for Hope is the joint effoert between CrossFit and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The goal is to raise 1.7 MM - one day's operating cost for St. Jude - to combat childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Register to participate or find an athlete or affiliate to sponser and join the fight." Our community will be preparing for this WOD every Friday, so don't forget to mark your calenders and make sure you attend our Friday classes! CrossFit Games Open Sectionals start February 22, 2012. We are excited to reconnect with friends, athletes, and coaches. There were many changes overtime and we all have grown tremendously CrossFitting. From Pr's to starting CrossFit gyms to competing and etc...
